Background

Zimworx is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Web Developer to support the design, development, and optimization of our digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end and back-end capabilities, a deep understanding of modern web frameworks, and the ability to deliver high-performing, user-centered web applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative problem solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive websites and web applications.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code using modern development standards.
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional and interactive web experiences.
• Optimize websites for maximum speed, performance, and mobile compatibility.
• Integrate APIs, third-party services, and backend systems as required.
• Conduct routine website testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Manage content updates and site enhancements using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
• Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, and IT teams to support project requirements.
• Ensure websites adhere to industry best practices, accessibility standards, and security guidelines.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and digital trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in web development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP.
• Strong experience working with CMS platforms, primarily WordPress.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git/GitHub.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web integrations.
• Understanding of SEO principles, responsive design standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with no-code/low-code tools (Bubble, Airtable, Zapier) is an added advantage.
