IQUBE Zambia Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Weighing Scale Specialist to support its retail operations.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
- Knowledge of barcode-label printing scales and POS system integration.
- Understanding of weights and measures compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and reporting skills.
Experience needed
- Minimum of three years’ experience supporting weighing scales in a retail environment.
- Practical experience in installing, configuring, calibrating and repairing electronic weighing scales.
Responsibilities or duties
- Install, configure and maintain retail weighing scales.
- Diagnose and repair scale hardware and software faults.
- Calibrate scales to ensure accurate weighing and pricing.
- Configure PLUs, barcodes, labels and network connectivity.
- Integrate weighing scales with retail POS systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain service records.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to stores.
- Ensure all scales comply with applicable regulatory standards.

- Ability to diagnose hardware, software and connectivity problems.
- Willingness to travel to different company locations when required.
