About the Branch Sales Manager Role

This full-time position reports directly to the company Directors and requires managing 14 Branch Managers across the country. Unlike traditional roles confined to office work, you will spend most of your time traveling to branches, coaching managers in person, and ensuring sales targets are met branch by branch. This newly created leadership role empowers you with full line authority and responsibility for national sales results.

Why This Branch Sales Manager Job in Lusaka Suits You

You have successfully managed multiple physical branches or sites simultaneously, not just a single location or independent agents.

Your experience includes tyre, battery, automotive, fuel retail, or similarly structured multi-site retail sectors with a clear understanding of product and service margin management.

You are accustomed to frequent national travel as a regular part of your role, not just occasional visits.

You seek full accountability for a national sales target, backed by the authority to implement strategies and decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and gross margin targets across the branch network with monthly phased goals communicated to each branch.
  • Directly line-manage and coach all 14 Branch Managers, including conducting performance reviews, appraisals, and succession planning.
  • Develop and implement branch sales models, focusing on conversion, cross-selling, and objection handling techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to convert marketing leads into confirmed sales.
  • Enforce Director-approved pricing and discount policies uniformly throughout the network.
  • Maintain a structured branch visit schedule prioritizing underperforming locations.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales performance reports, forecasts, and recovery plans.
  • Champion the adoption of Business Central ERP and promote disciplined sales data management across branches.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or related fields; equivalent proven experience considered.
  • Minimum five years’ experience managing multiple physical branches or sites simultaneously (single-site or field-agent management alone is insufficient).
  • Proven track record of line-managing Branch Managers or similarly dispersed teams, including conducting appraisals and succession planning.
  • Experience in automotive, tyre, battery, fuel retail, or comparable multi-site retail environments is an advantage.
  • Strong skills in Business Central/ERP systems, Power BI, and sales analytics.
  • Valid Zambian driving licence.

What Distinguishes This Branch Sales Manager Position

This role grants you full authority over Branch Managers and direct accountability for the network sales results. You will have direct access to company Directors and substantial influence over branch-level sales strategies. Unlike other roles, your focus remains on sales performance, people leadership, and conversion, without operational or financial control responsibilities outside your remit.

Additional Information

Only candidates meeting the specified qualifications and experience will be considered.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
