Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communication strategies.
  • Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and media inquiries.
  • Oversee corporate branding, public messaging, and reputation management.
  • Coordinate internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across departments.
  • Plan and execute PR campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide reports and recommendations.
  • Manage crisis communication and provide strategic guidance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, partners, and the public.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public relations or corporate communications, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in media relations and crisis communication.
  • Ability to develop strategic communication plans and execute them effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication and social media management.
  • Affiliation with Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC) is a must.
