Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 15 years general work experience
• Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in concrete structures

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee concrete operations including mixing, placement, compaction, and curing
• Supervise construction of culverts, bridges, retaining walls, drains, kerbs, and related structures
• Monitor formwork erection, alignment, and removal
• Check reinforcement placement for compliance with drawings/specifications
• Coordinate concrete testing (slump tests, cube samples, etc.)
• Ensure concrete quality standards are met
• Plan casting schedules and coordinate with batching plant
• Lead carpenters, steel fixers, and general workers; ensure productivity and safety
• Ensure correct use of equipment (mixers, vibrators, pumps) and report maintenance needs
• Verify concrete dimensions, levels, finish quality, and identify defects
• Maintain concrete records, test results, and daily reports
• Enforce safety procedures during all structural and concrete activities
