JOB DETAILS:
Mabiza Resources Limited (“Mabiza”) operates the Munali Nickel Mine (“Munali”), which is located in the Mazabuka District, 75kms south of Lusaka, Zambia. Mabiza is a wholly owned entity of Consolidated Nickel Mines Ltd.
The Mine is a modern, world-class facility with fully mechanized underground operations. To support this vision. Mabiza is seeking the services of an experienced and qualified individual to take up the position of: –
1. Role: Geology Sampler (X2)
Reporting: Grade Control and Exploration Technician
Job Purpose: To facilitate orderly production activities through the provision of direct assistance to the mine geology team in acquiring data and accurate adherence to grade control protocols.
2. Responsibilities: –
• Provide guidance and adherence to sampling procedures at the mine both underground and surface;
• Ensuring that all geology work is undertaken in a safe and environmentally friendly manner;
• Ensuring and implementing all grade control sampling procedures issued by the mine geologist;
• Controlling and overseeing the production activities related to geology works;
• Ensuring all grade control samples are bagged and tagged as per standard procedure;
• Lab sample bagging, tagging;
• Grade Control end of shift summary report provision;
• Performing grade control and implementation of procedures;
• Provision of daily geology grade control and production sampling data.
3. Skills & Qualifications: –
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Underground mine grade control geology work is essential.
• Knowledge of underground mining and grade control geology is key
• Analytical & coordination & problems solving skills.
• Efficient skills in mapping, sampling and logging planning, and scheduling of development
• Ability to follow instructions and apply the geology SOP
• Ability to learn quickly and work with minimum supervision
4. Physical Requirements:
• Fit physically/mentally
• Ability to work in an underground environment

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Associate Degree
