DEPARTMENT & FUNCTION:

  • Assisting in Handling Employee Manpower
  • Transport arrangement within Maamba
  • Filling and making follow-ups on JDs and KPIs
  • Assisting in Recruitments and coordinating for selecting suitable candidates
  • Preparing of Employment Contract Extension Letters
  • Preparing Driver`s monthly Rota
  • Preparing and submission of employee attendance
  • Assisting in Handling Employee Grievances
  • Assisting in Maintenance and observance of Legal Requirements
  • Leave Days Calculation
  • Assisting in Transport arrangement outside Maamba
    Assisting with Immigration issues

ROLE OF THE POSITION 

  • Assisting in coordinating and developing HR functions and procedures in accordance with the organization norms but in line with local applicable laws.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting in Preparing and submission of employee attendance
  • Assisting in Verification of needed statutes with NEZL & Its Agents.
  • Assisting with Employee Leave calculations
  • Employee involvement i.e. Monthly interactive meetings, circulars and timely notices
  • Assisting in Arranging transport for employees travelling to and from Lusaka for their vacations
  • Assisting in scheduling for employees who are due for medical tests (Silicosis) in the month of April and October.
  • Assisting in Ensuring wellness of visitors including company Senior Management
  • Assisting in Conducting Exit Interviews
  • Assisting in Maintaining of all HR related records.
  • Can Act as Senior Assistant HR/ Admin Officer on appointment in the absence of the position holder

SECONDARY / ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As assigned by the Senior Assistant HR/Admin Manager or NEZL Management i.e. Site in charge

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

A. Functional

  • Knowledge in HR/Admin Functions
  • Labour laws of Zambia

B. Behavioral

  • Inter personnel skills
  • Communication skills

EXPERIENCE & INDUSTRY BACKGROUND :

  • 3 years’ work experience

QUALIFICATION :

Diploma in Human Resource Management
