Simz Academy is an exciting e-learning start-up which provides digitized content at all educational levels across sub-Saharan Africa. We are assembling a passionate and driven international team of industry experts to build a unique and innovative e-learning platform. We are looking to recruit two full-time professionals at our new Zambian office.
POSITION: 2D/3D ANIMATION AND VISUALIZATION DESIGNER
We are looking for a talented and experienced animator/visualization designer to work with our teachers and instructors to create quality educational materials, including videos and presentations. You will take a leading role in building 2D and 3D visualizations, infographics and motion graphics for scientific topics. You will be involved from the initial design stages of the projects including, brainstorming, concept visualization, technical specification, style frame creation and full design & animation. .

REQUIREMENTS
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as power point, Excel and Word
• Extensive experience working with infographics tools, including integration with data.
• Thorough knowledge of any motion graphics software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, unreal Engine or Cinema 4D is essential.
• Good communication skills and ability to work interactively with other team members to solve Production challenges.
• Strong understanding of the principles of animation, with a keen eye for character pose and staging.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of basic real-world physics and their application for animation.
• Willingness to learn new cutting-edge animation technologies as recommended by the Academy.
• Desire to be challenged and open to feedback.
• Experience in taking a project from written concept to style-frames, storyboards and complete animations.
• Experience in creating science animations is desirable.
• Experience with HTML, CSS and other coding languages is an added advantage.
