The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) was established through an Act of Parliament; the Road Traffic Act No. 11 of 2002. RTSA has the mandate to implement Government policy on road safety and transport management. The Agency also collects Revenue on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The following vacancies now exist;

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER- TRAINING RTSA5 (3 POSITIONS)

Purpose of the job

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the job holder will assist the Human Resource Manager in handling staff training and other related activities

Specific duties and responsibilities

a. Interprets and implements the Agency training policy to ensure that skill gaps are mitigated;
b. Manages and coordinates all training activities of the Agency;
c. Prepares the training plan for Agency employees on an annual basis;

d. Coordinates the Performance Management Systems including performance appraisals for the purpose of confirmation of appointments;
e. Advises the Human Resource Manager on the mode of training relevant in the circumstances;
f. Conducts induction training programs for new employees;
g. Prepares training reports on quarterly basis; and
h. Carries out any other assignment that may be required from time to time.

Requirements

a. Full Grade 12 certificate;
b. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Public Administration, Business Administration or its equivalent;
c. At least three years of work experience in a similar position; and
d. A member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.

Competencies required

a. Honest and reliable.
b. Strong influencing and coaching skills.
c. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
d. Assertive, result oriented and able to work under pressure.
e. Good negotiating skills.
f. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
g. Able to work in collaboration with people at various levels and from different backgrounds.
