Description

Name of the position: Enumerator *4

Location:  Choma

Contract duration: 3 months contract (contract may be renewed – to work only on the days required)

Start Date: as soon as possible

Line Manager:  MEAL Coordinator

Application deadline: On rolling basis – Applications may be closed any time – depending on the volume of applications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the overall supervision of the MEAL Coordinator and direct supervision of MEAL Officer, the Enumerator is primarily responsible for timely collection of data, including quantitative or qualitative data collections through structured or semi-structured interviews with representative samples of target populations.

Objective of the Job

–          To perform data collection accurately and efficiently in accordance with PIN MEAL Unit’s established policies and procedures

–          Actively participates in initial training on selected data entry technology and data collection tools, takes part in the testing of the data collection tools and elaborates appropriate translation to local language if needed

–          Assists in the validation and adaptation of data-collection tools and performs data collection as instructed by MEAL Coordinator/Officer in the field and/or phone via structured (or semi-structured) and in-depth interviews and field visits and observations

–          Ensures quality of data and other information collected in the field and/or via remote means of communication

–          Captures data using digital data entry technology provided (e.g. KoBo forms or other relevant) and accurately enters data daily and saves them in the given online platform

–          Develops relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents; follows confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected

–          Identify and report any challenges faced that could affect the quality of the data and documents them.

–          Promotes CFRM in the field and reports to the focal point feedback received

–          Performs other duties as assigned by MEAL Coordinator.

Requirements

–          Must have experience of not less than 2 years in the same position or role

–          Must possess at least a diploma in relevant field or related to research studies

–          Must be fluent in English and Tonga

Accountability and Safeguarding including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH)

  • Carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct and Key policies
  • Participate in training and awareness raising (CoC and KP, Safeguarding…)
  • Support the implementation of Safeguarding measures.
  • Create and maintain a fulfilling and protective environment
