JOB DETAILS:

HAIL & COTTON ZAMBIA LIMITED, a leading global tobacco leaf merchant, are currently recruiting for their Zambia Operations, for the following position:

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver agronomic extension services and provide financial support to smallholder farmers.
• Attend pre-season departmental meetings and recommend adjustments to input quantities.
• Facilitate grower selection and registration, including identifying potential growers.
• Ensure signing of contracts between growers and the company.
• Provide agronomic advice to small holder growers.
• Support debt recovery efforts in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor field operations and prepare detailed reports for submission to the Agronomy Manager.
• Assist with mopping, marketing and selling of tobacco bales.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of a General Certificate of Agriculture.
• At least 2 years of field experience.
• Possession of a valid motorbike license (mandatory).
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of small-scale tobacco farming (an added advantage).
• Ability to coordinate, provide agronomic advice, and manage administrative tasks.
