Job Summary:
A company in Kalulushi Central is seeking four experienced Mechanical Artisans to maintain and repair mechanical equipment at our industrial site. The Mechanical Artisans will ensure the functionality and safety of machinery, supporting continuous operations in a high-demand environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment, such as loaders, trucks, and other industrial machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement solutions to minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify and address potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
- Fabricate or modify mechanical components as needed to improve equipment performance.
- Collaborate with electricians and other maintenance teams to support overall site operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades as required.
- Respond to emergency mechanical breakdowns to ensure operational continuity.
- Follow safety protocols to protect yourself and others while working with machinery.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical artisan in an industrial or mining environment.
- Valid trade test certificate in mechanical fitting, diesel mechanics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and engines.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Physical ability to work in demanding conditions, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail in mechanical repairs.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kalulushi Central, Copperbelt Province.
- Serious and committed attitude, as emphasized by the employer.
