JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To provide general support services by performing basic manual tasks that ensure smooth operations in the company’s production, warehouse, and/or facility environment. The General Worker contributes to efficiency, cleanliness, and safety across assigned work areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including loading, offloading, lifting, carrying, packing, and moving goods or materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas including sweeping, mopping, dusting, waste disposal, and ensuring hygienic conditions.
- Assist in production processes by supplying materials, moving items, and following instructions from supervisors.
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely (e.g., hand tools,cleaning machines).
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report damaged equipment, safety hazards, and maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
- Support skilled workers (e.g., fitters, electricians, machine operators) by carrying out simple tasks as directed.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
