Background

Natkos Distributors Limited is seeking an Account Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicating monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and communicate the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the board of directors.
  • Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with company management and review all financial plans and budgets, monitor progress and change, and keep senior management leadership abreast of the organization's financial status.
  • Monitor organizational performance against both annual budget and the company's long-term strategy.
  • Prepare accurate and timely recording of all financial information, including cash receipts and disbursements, accounts payables and accounts receivables, payroll and benefit journal entries, and the general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax liabilities and statutory obligations.
  • Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices, improve the financial department's overall policy and procedure manual.
  • Effective communication and present critical financial matters to the board of directors.
  • Review payroll and ensure salaries are paid on time and in accordance with regulations and policy.
  • Reconcile the manual fixed asset register with the accounting system on a timely basis.
  • Develop overall Human Resource and Administration, enhancing professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, training, and recruiting.
  • Ensure the recruitment processes are consistent and streamlined.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive training program to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
  • Ensure that monthly reports are submitted on the 05th of every month.
  • Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have a full Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
  • Must have a certificate or diploma in accounting.
  • Knowledge and experience in Accounts - Added advantage.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Accounts Receivables - Added advantage.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Must be a member of ZICA.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
