Background

The Accountant is responsible for managing the Company's financial records and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. The role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, budgeting, and statutory compliance, while supporting management with timely financial information for effective decision-making.

Key Qualifications and Competencies

Full Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) credits or better.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.

Minimum of 5–10 years' relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and financial management.

Demonstrated experience at supervisory or management level.

Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Zambian tax regulations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent reporting and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial reporting and analysis.

Working knowledge of Sage Evolution 200 (added advantage).

Experience in inventory accounting and stock reconciliation (added advantage).

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Valid driver's license.
