JOB PURPOSE

To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, effective management of funds, compliance with Zambian financial regulations, and support in decision-making by providing reliable financial information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws, ZRA requirements, and other statutory obligations (e.g. NAPSA, PAYE).
  • Process payments, manage petty cash, and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain proper records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
  • Support in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal financial policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ZICA and ACCA is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of work experience is required, and prior experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
  • Must to a full registered member of ZICA.
  • Qualifications must be verified and validated by ZAQA.
  • Knowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
