Background

Sino Metals Leach Zambia Limited, a medium-sized copper mining and processing company on the Copperbelt Province, is seeking the services of an Accountant on a fixed-term contract basis. This is a middle management position.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant shall be responsible for:

• Development, implementation and support of the entity's objectivity through continual audit of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the company requirements for Accounting Records and standards.
• Taxation, Asset protection and internal financial controls.
• Recording of Financial and business transactions in the accounting software package.
• Tax management - (VAT Payable/Claim, VAT credibility report, Smart Invoice, Withholding Tax, PAYE and Mineral Royalty).
• Assist in Tax Audit processes with ZRA and External Auditors.
• Bank, Payable and receivable reconciliation.

Education Qualification Requirements

• Must be a holder of Bachelor of Accountancy, CA Zambia II, ACCA II, CIMA II, Diploma in Accountancy, or any Finance related field.
• Should be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Methodical, honest, and integrity.
• Age 23 to 35 years
• No experience required.
