JOB VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the General Ledger.
  • Prepare and reconcile VAT accounts and ensure timely VAT submissions.
  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts.
  • Submit and file statutory and financial returns.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage company budgets.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee all accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with audits and provide financial reports to management.
  • Perform any other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
