JOB DETAILS:

Zambia Airports Corporation Limited is a reputable Aviation Organization with a vision to provide World Class and diversified Airport and Air navigation business at the four designated international airports in Zambia namely, Kenneth Kaunda in Lusaka, Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe in Ndola, Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula in Livingstone and Mfuwe and Ten (10) provincial and strategic aerodromes. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian citizens to fill the below mentioned position:

Location: Kenneth Kaunda International Airport and Mfuwe International Airport

• ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

This role reports to the Accountant. The job holder is responsible for ensuring that all invoices are booked in the Ledger before payment is done so as a liability is recognized in the system and all staff payments are properly accounted for in the system so that the risk of omission is minimized.

Key Performance Areas

• Carrying out bank reconciliations.
• Booking invoices in sun system.
• Raising/Initiating payments and ensuring that the payment has valid supporting documents with the recipient acknowledging payment to avoid fraud.
• Maintaining a proper filling system.
• Ensuring that staff recoveries are presented to the payroll officer before closure of payroll.
• Reconciling all the Creditors (local and foreign) for all Airports.
• Liaising with the Accountant for all payments to be made to Creditors.
• Any other related duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics.
• CIMA Level 2/ACCA Level 2/CA Zambia level 2/ZICA Licentiate/Degree in Accounting and Finance/Degree in Accountancy
• Knowledge of Sun system would be an added advantage

Professional Membership

• Professional Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
