Palm Oil Production and Plantation
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:
- Preparing payment Vouchers.
- Capture and manage all supplier payments and do the reconciliation.
- Ensure that all documents are filed.
- Perform the 3-point check before processing invoices.
- Ensure that supplier terms are adhered to and that payments are made on time.
- Ensure that all outstanding queries are referred timely to the relevant departments and ensure these queries are escalated to the relevant manager.
- Ensure reconciliations are accurate and completed by the due date as per the Ledger calendar.
- Ensure payroll-related payments are made on due dates.
- Ensure “In Progress” invoices are checked daily.
- Maintain a high degree of customer service for all queries in alignment with agreed KPIs.
- Ensure a good understanding of all payable and receivable processes.
- Maintains good working relationships with all departments.
- Assists with the maintenance of customer master data in relevant financial system.
Qualification
- Full Grade 12 GCE O’Level Certificate or GCSE
- Degree/Diploma in accountancy or related field.
- Professional certification such as Level 2 CA Zambia, CIMA or ACCA.
- Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
- Training in advanced Excel.
- Training in SAGE 300 & SAP accounting package.
Experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in Agro-Industry or in busy Finance environment in a reputable firm.
- Proven track record working as an Accounts Assistant.
