Adolescent Program Officer
Overview
mothers2mothers Zambia seeks to recruit an Adolescent Program Officer for the JSI led, USAID Supporting an AIDS-Free Era (SAFE) program in Zambia. The five year project will work to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission, while improving nutrition outcomes and family planning integration in three provinces: Central, Copperbelt, and North-Western.
USAID SAFE will work with the GRZ, private sector and civil society institutions at the national, provincial, and district level to increase access to ART for HIV positive adults and children, reduce the incidence of new infections, improve Nutritional Assessment, Counseling and Services (NACS) and family planning services, and increase the capacity of local health institutions to better serve affected populations.
The Adolescent Program Officer will oversee the implementation of quality USAID SAFE adolescent/teen MOMs interventions and data collection for all Mentor Mother model sites and surrounding communities in Central and Copperbelt Provinces. S/he will also ensure the creation of linkages between USAID SAFE Mentor Mother sites and the USAID -DREAMS Initiative, provide technical assistance and supervision to all Team Leads and Mentor Mothers; and monitor and report on m2m services. This position will provide an integrated service platform management technical assistant to all MMs to enhance the achievement of the USAID SAFE PMTCT deliverables.
The position will be based in Ndola, Zambia.
This position reports to the PMTCT Specialist based at USAID SAFE HQ in Lusaka , with a dotted line reporting to the USAID SAFE Regional Directors in Copperbelt Province (JSI-employed).
