Background
Family Legacy (FL) is a faith-based, Christian, God-led organization that exists to glorify God by equipping children in Zambia to Live out their God-given potential. Since the year 2000 Family Legacy (FL) has been working in the compounds in Lusaka Zambia to transform the lives and future of vulnerable and orphaned children. FL employs over 800 staff and serves over 13,000 orphaned and vulnerable children and runs 3 key programs: a) Camp Life; b) Tree of Life Childrens Village; and c) 20 Legacy Academies (schools).
One of the program departments within the Family Legacy Ministry is the Tree of Life Farm. The Tree of Life Farm exists to disciple, train and feed the children at the Tree of Life and serve as an example of what is possible with hard work, knowledge, and faith in God.
The Tree of Life Farm is a multi-faceted operation engaged in producing broilers, eggs, vegetables, fish, goats, fruit, and coffee. Additionally, the farm processes peanut butter and vegetable oil. The Agri-Processing Supervisor responsible to effectively oversee the day-to-day operation the Agri-Processing enterprises (currently peanut butter and vegetable oil) at the TOL Farm.
Role Purpose
Responsible for managing agricultural processing operations at Tree of Life Farm, focusing on producing and processing food products while mentoring students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee production of peanut butter and vegetable oil
- Manage equipment maintenance and inventory control
- Train and supervise staff and students
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards
- Market agricultural products
- Develop operational strategies
- Coordinate with farm management
- Maintain comprehensive operational records
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Agriculture
- 1+ year agricultural work experience
- Proficient in computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
- Valid Zambian Driver's License
