JOB DETAILS:
Air Conditioner Technician HEMM Mines
Description
• Maintenance and repair of air-conditioning system on all mobile equipment in an effective and efficient manner in compliance with the relevant safety and environmental requirements
• Equipment inspection and servicing of the air-conditioning system in a proactive maintenance and defect correction
• Diagnosis and repair of the air-conditioning system including the related electrical system
• Refrigerant gas evacuation and recharge during system maintenance and repair
• Perform piping connections on lines and valves and repair of evaporator and condenser cores through use of hand tools for tubes, brazing, soldering and oxy-acetylene heating
• Defining repair scope and parts requirement forecasting
• Completion of job cards and other documentation
• Compliance to the safety and environmental standards associated with handling and disposal of refrigerants

Requirements
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate
• Craft or Technician Certificate in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration
• Refrigerant Handling Certification as required by ZEMA
• Minimum 3 years work experience on surface mining equipment and other air-conditioning or refrigeration systems
