JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in operating mobile drilling machine in order to drill blast holes as required.

MAIN DUTIES
• Assists in operating mobile drilling machine to drill blast holes horizontally in open cast mine or in face of strip mine:
• Assists in Measuring under cuttings with steel rod to determine depth of undercut and location of holes to be drilled.
• Assists in marking hole locations and boundaries of cut on ribs and face, using chalk…
• Observes electric power cable when moving machine to avoid damage to cable.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 9 School Certificate
• Blast hole Drillers’ Certification.(added advantage)
• Blasting License certificate
• Minimum 2 years work experience in open cast mining/relevant field

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
