Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

1)   Minimum of a diploma in graphic design

2)   Must be familiar with computers and Microsoft Office packages.

3)   Must have at least 2 years proven work experience in graphic designing and able to operate printing machinery.

4)   Must be able to work with a wide range of media and have excellent knowledge of any of the leading softwares such as, Adobe illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, CorelDraw, etc.

5)   Able to plan and illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts regarding size, type and style

6)   Able to prepare creative rough drafts and present ideas

7)   Able to determine job requirements and conceptualize visuals from design briefs

8)   Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required

9)   Good writing skills and knowledge of grammar for proofreading and editing.

10) A strong portfolio of previous works done.

11) Fast typing with at least 55 wpm with high accuracy

12) Candidates should have experience working with e-files

13) Excellent communication skills

14) Strong creative skills and pays attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities

1)   Manage design projects from concept to delivery for various print and digital materials.

2)   Determine job requirements and conceptualize visuals from design briefs in order to effectively start and complete projects in a timely manner.

3)   Review final design layouts and suggest improvements if required/ensure final design layouts are in line with client requirements.

4)   Work closely with the design and production team to ensure that graphics match the mockups approved by the customer

5)   Prepare creative rough drafts and present ideas and proposals to the appropriate teams.

6)   Advise and contribute to the creative team for design projects.

7)   Assist with printing and other graphic designing and branding related tasks as may be required from time to time.

8)   Exercise excellent customer service to clients.

9)   Handle confidential documents carefully and maintain confidentiality as required.

10) Pay thorough attention to detail and ensure that the final project is proof read for accuracy and quality.

 11) Knowledge of installation of branding materials/media and decals will be an added advantage

12) Demonstrated ability to install wide format vinyl prints on windows, walls and vehicles

13) Demonstrated ability to install wall mounted and hanging sign panels.

14) Experience in plate making, artwork layouts alignments for printing.

15) Handle confidential documents carefully

16) Ensure the final project is proof read for accuracy and quality

17) Able to work under pressure, good team player and self-motivated.
