Vroomotive Autobody is excited to announce two outstanding opportunities for Auto Collision Estimators—a highly skilled lady and a talented gentleman—to join our dynamic team. Both roles are stationed at our modern, high-volume workshop in Lusaka’s industrial area.

About the Role
As a valued member of our team, you will appraise vehicle damage to determine the cost of repairs for individual and insurance claim settlements. Your expertise will guide repair solutions, ensuring our clients receive accurate, trustworthy, and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities
• Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Estimate labour and parts costs for repairs, replacements, and painting, including customisations.
• Review repair cost estimates with the workshop management team to ensure alignment with quality standards.
• Resolve discrepancies by collaborating with third-party assessors when required.
• Determine the practicality of repair versus replacement, including evaluation of vehicle salvage value and assessing market value pre-accident.
• Prepare detailed insurance documentation and clear recommendations for clients.
• Provide exceptional customer service, presenting findings and repair options in a clear, professional manner.
• Handle other relevant workshop tasks as assigned.

Key Skills Required
• Expert knowledge of collision damage appraisal and repair estimation.
• Strong industry experience gained from reputable companies in the autobody repair sector.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information to clients, management, and public groups.
• Keen attention to detail and a customer-focused approach, thriving in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of Grade 12 certificate.
• Diploma/Certificate in Auto-mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in a busy autobody repair workshop.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training are added advantages.
• Strong documentation skills, including interpreting technical and business materials.

Language & Communication Skills
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical manuals.
• Skilled in writing reports and business correspondence.
• Proficient in presenting information to managers, clients, and groups.
• Capable of responding effectively to inquiries and complaints.
