About the Role
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by identifying, acquiring, and retaining corporate and SME Clients for the broking business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will build strategic relations with prospects, insurers and partners to expand market share in Lusaka and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute a business development plan to achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
- Prospect new clients through networking, referrals, cold outreach and industry events
- Conduct needs analysis, prepare proposals, and present solutions to prospective clients
- Prepare risk submissions and negotiate competitive terms with insurers
- Negotiate terms and close deals in coordination with the broking team
- Work with existing clients to cross-sell and up-sell additional lines of cover
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance or related fields
- Professional qualification ACII/AIIZ or sales certification is an added advantage
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales in insurance, financial services, or professional services
- 2+ years hittting individual sales stargets
- Strong hunter mentality, negotiation, presentation
- Knowledge of Zambian insurance products and PIA regulations required
- Self drive, resilient, excellent communicator, strong network in Lusaka business
