About the role:

We are looking for a skilled CNC Cutting Machine Operator (6) who will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC leather cutting machines as well as manual cutting presses. The operator will ensure that leather materials are cut accurately according to predetermined patterns. The selected Operator will attend a short course on the operation and maintenance of the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operation of the Machine
• Interpretation of patterns to ensure precise cutting of leather components.
• Inspect leather materials before and after cutting and make necessary adjustments if needed.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Videoconference with the manufacturer for receiving instructions if necessary.
• Detect and resolve any issues with the cutting process, machinery, and materials.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the cutting process.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in operating industrial cutting machines, preferably in leather or clothing manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of computers, understanding of computerized machines operation, pattern reading, and knowledge of material properties (especially leather) is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any process issues.
• Grade 12 Certficate or any other technical diploma related to the operation and maintenance of industrial machines.
• Technical certifications in computerized machines operation or a related field is preferred.
