CALL FOR TEVET HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT NOMINATIONS
Background
The Technical Education, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Technology and Science established under the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Act of No. 13 of 1998 and the Amendment Act No. 11 of 2005 to regulate, coordinate and monitor Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training in consultation with stakeholders. Amongst the responsibilities of TEVETA include the management of the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) Fund.
Invitation to Trainers, Instructors, Assessors and Examiners from TEVET Providers
The Government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Ministry of Technology and Science, has set aside funds from the proceeds of the Skills Development Levy towards the implementation of the TEVET Human Resource Development (HRD) activities through the TEVET Fund for economic transformation and job creation.

ABOUT THE TEVET FUND HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (HRDP) SKILLS UPGRADE
The TEVET Fund HRDP skills upgrade for are for trainers, Instructors, assessors, and examiners accredited by TEVETA from TEVET registered training providers. The financing of the skills upgrade programme is funded by the Skills Development Levy, through the TEVET Fund under the Human Resource Development component. FIELD(S) OF STUDY:
All subject areas are eligible, although priority will be given to those applications seeking to study scarce and critical skills that demonstrate strong relevance to the country's development priorities (Tourism, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Mining sectors supported by Energy. Transport and logistics, Technology and Infrastructure) in line with Eighth National Development Plan (BNDP). The funded programmes are available to access training from local institutions of learning. Skills upgrade may also be made available to train with an international institution on special circumstances, which may include situations where there is no institution locally that can offer the required training. Candidates are requested to apply for a course of study and obtain an acceptance letter

TARGET GROUP
The HRDP is targeted at enhancing/upgrading the knowledge and skills of trainers, instructors, assessors and examiners in registered TEVET Institutions. This includes new courses for skills emerging in the TEVET sector

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The eligibility requirements for these programme nominations include:
NOMINATING INSTITUTIONS MUST:
• Be accredited with TEVETA as a trainer, instructor examiner or assessor,
• Be registered with TEVETA

Nominees must
• Be Zambian citizens with Green National Registration Cards (NRC);
• Should show proof of acceptance in the course at the host institution.
• Show commitment that they will continue contributing to the TEVET sector and current employer upon completion of the course
• Provide a satisfactory medical certificate of health obtained from a Government Health Facility.
A letter of commitment from the institution, signed by the Principal, committing to grant paid study;
No application for sponsorship outside Zambia will be approved if the same course is available locally (this shall apply to all types of study): Nominees must not be more than 45 years of age at the time of commencing the programme.

HRDP GRANT TERMS
The skills upgrade financing will comprise the following:
• Tuition fees paid directly to the course host training institution;
• Full board and lodging expenses:
• Book allowance;
• Travel expenses as approved by Government.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS
The closing date for submission of proposals is Friday, 11th August 2023 at 15:00hrs. Proposals sent by email will not be accepted. Opening of the proposals will be done immediately, following closure of the Tender Box. Applicants are welcome to witness the Opening of the T Tender B
