Background information about the job or company:

JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. has been awarded a five-year contract for underground mining services at MMG's Khoemacau Copper Mine at Toteng, Zone 5, Botswana. JCHX, a global mining contractor with nearly 30 years of experience, will be responsible for the development and operation of the underground mine. The project is seen as a significant step towards MMG's goal of increasing copper production at Khoemacau.

Responsibilities or duties:

• - Interpret plans and record explosive usage for all types of firing undertaken.
• - Identify and remedy misfires; Complete thorough re-entries to work areas.
• - Charge development headings.
• - Undertake stope preparation, charging and ring hook up.
• - Ensure all materials are used and all waste is disposed of in the environmentally approved manner.
• - Ensure security over explosives.

Qualifications or requirements:

• - A Valid Class ‘B’ Driver’s Licence.
• - Working at heights certificate.
• - Underground Blasting License.
• - Minimum 5 years’ experience working in an underground mining environment.
• - In-depth and extensive knowledge and application of contemporary underground mining practices to maximise safety and productivity.
