JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a Chef who will be reporting to the site Manager. Will be overseeing the restaurant’s kitchen by managing other members of the food preparation team, deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet guests’ requests. Will assist in prep work, such as chopping vegetables, but more often will be involved in cooking specialty dishes. Chooses ingredients and designs a menu based on the seasonal availability of food items. Creates unique dishes that inspire guests to come back again and again to see what is new in the restaurant.. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Cook food in a timely manner ;
• Create new recipes ;
• Monitor food stock and costs ;
• Choose ingredients and design a menu based on the seasonal availability ;
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen ;
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen area
• Manage kitchen staff
• Adjust orders to meet guests’ requests
• Work in different sections of the kitchen
• Delegate tasks to kitchen staff.

Job Skills: Not Specified

  Job Qualifications:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma or the equivalent in food production ;
• 2+ years’ experience as a Chef or Cook ;
• Leadership skills ;
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Spoken language: English fluent
