We are a growing microfinance institution dedicated to providing accessible and innovative financial solutions to individuals and small businesses across Zambia. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization towards sustainable growth, operational excellence, and digital transformation.

The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, financial performance, and regulatory compliance of the company, while fostering a strong culture of innovation, integrity, and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the company’s operations and business growth.

* Develop and implement effective business strategies and plans aligned with the company’s mission and financial objectives.

* Lead and inspire the management team to deliver operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

* Ensure compliance with the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) regulations, the Microfinance Act, and all relevant legal frameworks.

* Oversee credit operations, risk management, collections, marketing, and customer service functions.

* Manage relationships with investors, regulators, and key stakeholders to ensure long-term sustainability.

* Drive digital transformation initiatives, including mobile lending, USSD, payment integrations, and fintech innovation.

* Report regularly to the Board of Directors on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

* A Master’s degree (MBA) or a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is an added advantage.

* Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in the financial services or microfinance sector, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management or executive position.

* Proven experience in credit management, portfolio growth, loan recovery, and financial planning.

* Strong understanding of Zambian financial regulations and the Bank of Zambia’s Microfinance Guidelines.

* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and manage performance effectively.

* Experience with digital financial services or fintech products is highly desirable.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
