Company Description.
Malmak Sun Power Energy Ltd is a Zambian company established in the Republic of Zambia and was registered under the registration of business names Act Nº 16 of 2011 of the laws of Zambia on 20th March 2018; is incorporated as a company registration No: 120200001184. The company’s principal line of business is to supply reliable electricity through the generation of renewable energy.

Therefore, it has become necessary for Malmak S.P.E Ltd to seek and employ creative and experienced candidate to fill in the executive management position below;
The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure the project is delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Role Overview
CFO will be a key member of the Executive Management team. The position will report to the MD and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company’s financials and operations. The CFO will have a strong finance and operations background with day-to-day responsibility for planning, controlling, and managing all the company’s financial and critical operational activities. Experience in acquisitions, system evaluation and integration, and deal structuring would be an asset.

Job Responsibilities CFO:
• Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
• Maintains market awareness of industry trends, opportunities, and turns
• Drives operational accuracy, efficiency, and scalability through systems and process enhancements and IT infrastructure
• Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts
• Develops budgets for new business growth and strategy
• Prepares and presents financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial documentation
• Works with the Controller to establish controls and metrics
• Provides executive management with recommendations on the financial implications of business operations and activities
• Works with corporate counsel on M&A, financing, and structuring documents
• Interface with auditors and tax advisors to advance company goals and objectives

Qualifications
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce

Education and Experience:
• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA, MFA, and/CIMA, ACCA or CPA highly desirable
• 10 years of successful experience as a senior-level executive
• 10+ years in a progressively responsible financial and operational leadership role, preferably in the energy sector, telecommunications, financial industry
