JOB DETAILS:
Overview
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer (CRCO) will lead in the determination of investment, financial, safety and security risks for the company and third-party funds (assets under the company’s management) and will find ways to reduce or eliminate the risks through careful planning and problem-solving.
The CRCO will lead in research activities that will include risk assessment and evaluation for current company and AUM affairs.

Principal Accountabilities:
The CRCO will focus on managing the following four broad categories of risk:
Investment Risk – Put in place mechanisms for identifying and managing investment risk to minimise and/or eliminate the probability or uncertainty of losses from investments made due to falls in the fair prices of local and offshore securities such as bonds, stocks, real estate, etc.
• Investment Risk
• Compliance Risk
• Operational Risk
• Enterprise Risk

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, statistics or a related with a master’s degree or such higher qualification in risk, investment, business, or other related field.
• 10 plus years’ experience providing risk management services in a financial or such other related organisation and/or international organization.
• Must have extensive knowledge of investment, financing, mitigating and insurance strategies to build up preventative measures against potential risks.
