Job Summary

The Chinese Translator provides critical language support, translating technical, operational, and administrative documents and facilitating real-time communication between Chinese-speaking management/staff and English-speaking local teams on a mining site, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Translation & Interpretation: Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings, site visits, and daily operations (Chinese English).
• Document Translation: Translate technical reports, safety guidelines, operational manuals, contracts, and general correspondence.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize and adapt to specific mining, geological, engineering, and chemical terminology in both languages.
• Cultural Liaison: Offer cultural insights to bridge communication gaps and foster better teamwork.
• Quality Assurance: Review and edit translated materials for accuracy, consistency, and context.
• On-Site Support: Assist with on-site communications and potentially handle administrative tasks.
