Position Overview
Family Legacy seeks a dedicated Christian Education Teacher to join our mission of serving over 14,000 orphaned and vulnerable children across Zambia. This role combines biblical instruction with holistic education, focusing on spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Spiritual Development: Deliver Christian Education curriculum, lead devotions, and provide biblical counseling to students and staff
- Classroom Management: Plan and execute engaging lessons, maintain comprehensive student records, and ensure academic excellence
- Student Support: Monitor spiritual growth, provide pastoral care, and advocate for student safety and well-being
- Leadership: Serve as a role model, enforce student conduct policies, and contribute to positive school culture
- Assessment: Conduct continuous assessments, administer exams, and track student progress
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents/guardians and support literacy programs
Required Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Diploma in Education/Theology (Teaching Council Certified); Degree preferred
- Experience: 2-3 years of teaching experience
- Faith: Committed Christian with alignment to Family Legacy's Statement of Faith
- Skills: Fluency in English, computer proficiency (MS Office), strong communication abilities
- Character: High moral integrity, passion for vulnerable children, and servant-hearted approach
