About the Role and Organisation

The Clinic Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Tusekelemo Community Medical Centre, a not-for-profit institution dedicated to delivering quality medical care to communities in the region. Following an agreement with Tusekelemo Trust, Mary Begg Health Services will manage the medical services, and this role is critical to ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

This is a full-time, fixed-term senior contract position within the Administration department, requiring an experienced professional capable of managing multiple aspects of clinic operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities for Clinic Manager Jobs in Mkushi

  • Ensure the clinic operates with the highest standards of professional excellence and compliance.
  • Align clinical staffing, health and safety protocols, medical equipment, and patient services with regulatory requirements.
  • Streamline workflows and systems across departments to enhance efficiency and minimize delays.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and clinical competence among staff.
  • Drive patient-centered service delivery, monitoring satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement and enforce policies, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance measures.
  • Track and report performance against established objectives.
  • Create a supportive work environment that fosters staff engagement and productivity.
  • Plan and manage staffing levels, including recruitment, allocation, and duty rosters.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical governance frameworks and regulatory standards such as HPCZ.

  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and optimize revenue streams.
  • Oversee billing, stock control, and resource utilization.
  • Serve as the key liaison between MBHS, Tusekelemo Trust, and the local community.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, community leaders, and referral partners.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health administration, management, or a clinical qualification such as Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM).
  • At least 2 to 3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting or multi-unit management in a medium to large medical facility.
  • Strong administrative and management skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • Effective delegation and team leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
