Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, including personal hygiene
• Produce creative and excellent dishes that exceed guest expectations
• Effectively communicate with other members of the kitchen team
• Gracefully receive and implement constructive criticism
• Remain calm and focused while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Carry out multiple orders simultaneously within tight timeframes
• Perform basic tasks of food preparation and organisation in the kitchen
• Support other team members to ensure the successful operation of the kitchen
• Assist in the preparation of mise en place for assigned station
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management
• Participate in menu development and dish presentation discussions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and quality control standards
• Contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere by demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow
• Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff when required
• Participate in regular team meetings and briefings
• Continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge of food trends and techniques

Qualifications
• High School certificate
• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage/Restaurant operations role
• Passion for teamwork
• Excellent guest service skills
• Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation and preservation of food
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures
