JOB DETAILS:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of Commissioning Electrical Engineer is to support, on-site installations, develop and implement test plans based on industry standards.
- Electrical relay testing and debugging
- Perform onsite inspections and testing of electrical switchgear equipment before and after energization
- Communicate and coordinate with different teams
- Participate in troubleshooting switchgear failures, installing and preparing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports.
- Complete commissioning check sheet, adding defects and incomplete work to the punch list.
- Perform other duties that maybe assigned by the commissioning manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- Degree In Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
- At least Five (5) Years Experience working in substation project construction and/or commissioning environment is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings such as SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Good knowledge of electrical switchgear, Protection Relay devices and Electrical equipment testing.
- Ability to troubleshoot, fault find and rectify AC and DC circuits
- Knowledge of electrical power system safety standards and regulations
- Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) (PAID UP)
SKILL SET
- Strong problem, solving skills and teamwork
- Excellent Computer skills
- Able to use CMC 356, CPC100 Omicron devices
- Good communication
- Overtime may be required
- TO START WORK IMMEDIATELY
