Role: Community Verification Officer

Contract: 6 months (consultancy-based)

What you’ll do:

  • Collect and verify data on human-wildlife conflict incidents (crop damage, livestock predation, property damage, injuries, human death)
  • Work with communities and partners to confirm reported cases
  • Capture and upload data, photos, and documentation using a mobile app
  • Support awareness activities and community engagement
  • Contribute to reports and insights from the field

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong data collection and reporting skills
  • Comfortable using smartphones/apps for data capture
  • Good communication and community engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Detail-oriented with ability to accurately read, write, and capture field data
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with community members, partners, and local leadership
  • Knowledge of local communities/languages is an advantage
  • Must own a valid motorbike driver’s License
