CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

UNILUS Teaching Hospital is a modern and HCPZ accredited teaching hospital affiliated to the University of Lusaka. As we expand our specialist services, we invite applications from qualified and experienced Consultant Surgeons to join our team.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

• Consultant General Surgeon – 2 Positions
• Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – 2 Positions
• Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist – 2 Positions
• Consultant Paediatric Surgeon – 1 Position
• Consultant ENT Surgeon – 1 Position
• Consultant Urologist – 1 Position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide specialist surgical care and emergency on-call services.
• Supervise and teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Lead departmental clinical audits, research and CPD activities.
• Contribute to building protocols and quality standards.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• MBChB from a recognized university.
• MMed, FCPS, FRCS, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty.
• Full registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) + Valid practicing license.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a Consultant.
• Experience in teaching and mentorship will be an added advantage.
• Commitment to academia and patient-centered care.

Salary Package:

An attractive and competitive package will be offered commensurate with one’s qualification and experience.
