Role Purpose

The Content / Media Officer is responsible for creating, publishing, and managing all social media content and digital media assets for both Curtain Factory and Deyne Interiors. This role keeps both brands visible, consistent, and engaging across all digital platforms — and serves as the company’s visual storyteller.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Content Creation

  • Create high-quality social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and other approved platforms
  • Photograph products, installations, and design projects for use across platforms
  • Design graphics, promotional materials, and digital assets using Canva or equivalent
  • Write engaging captions that reflect each brand’s tone and target audience
  • Edit videos and reels for social media publishing

Content Publishing & Scheduling

  • Maintain and execute the monthly content calendar
  • Publish content on schedule — no missed posting days
  • Respond to DMs and comments professionally in the brand’s tone
  • Monitor and report on post engagement and follower growth

Media Asset Management

  • Organise and maintain the company’s digital media library
  • Ensure all project photography is captured and stored systematically
  • Obtain and document client photography approvals where required

Reporting

  • Provide the Marketing Manager with a weekly content performance summary
  • Flag underperforming content and suggest improvements

Role Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Education

  • Certificate or Diploma in Graphic Design, Media, Marketing, or Communications preferred

Experience Required

  • 1–2 years in a social media, content creation, or digital marketing role
  • A strong personal or professional content portfolio required
  • Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

Skills & Competencies

  • Content creation — photography, graphic design, video editing
  • Copywriting for social media
  • Proficient in Canva, Meta Business Suite, and scheduling tools
  • Basic understanding of social media algorithms and best practices

Personal Attributes

  • Creative eye — natural sense of aesthetics and composition
  • Consistent — delivers on schedule without reminders
  • Brand-aware — understands the difference between the two company brands
  • Enthusiastic about design, décor, and visual storytelling
