JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for an experienced consultant to set up copper supply contracts and build a copper trading operation in Zambia in partnership with an international trading firm.
This role is practical and commercial. We are looking for someone who has done this before and has real relationships in the copper market.
Responsibilities or duties
- Set up copper supply and offtake contracts with:
- Artisanal and small-scale mines
- Copper aggregators and local traders
- Processing plants and smelters
- Build a copper supply chain from mine to processing/export
- Work with an international trading firm to structure trading operations
- Help design pricing, logistics, and delivery frameworks
- Introduce reliable suppliers and buyers
- Advise on day-to-day copper trading operations in Zambia.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Proven experience in copper trading or mining supply chains
- Evidence of past copper contracts or deals completed
- Established relationships with mines, aggregators, or processing plants
- Experience working with international trading firms or commodity traders preferred
- Experience in Zambia or Africa (Copperbelt strongly preferred)

Level of Education: bachelor degree
