Job Purpose
To safeguard portfolio quality by making prudent credit decisions and ensuring the precise coordination of employer payroll deductions in line with company policy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Credit Assessment & Decisioning
- Analyze loan applications for authenticity, policy compliance, and potential fraud.
- Conduct affordability checks and debt-to-income calculations to prevent client over-indebtedness.
- Approve loans within delegated authority or recommend restructuring/decline with documented justification.
- Escalate high-value or exception cases to the Credit Manager.
2. Employer Payroll Coordination (Critical)
- Prepare and submit accurate deduction schedules (Name, NRC, Payroll No., Amount, Tenure) to employer HR/Payroll departments.
- Confirm receipt and follow up to ensure deductions are correctly loaded into employer systems.
- Promptly resolve payroll rejections and rectify errors to prevent missed repayments.
- Maintain an up-to-date employer submission register.
3. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management
- Monitor repayment performance and track Portfolio at Risk (PAR) trends.
- Identify early warning signs of default and collaborate with the Collections team on high-risk accounts.
- Recommend adjustments to credit criteria based on portfolio performance.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain audit-ready files while ensuring strict confidentiality of client data.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on approval ratios, decline reasons, and submission logs.
- Ensure all actions align with Zambian lending regulations and internal controls.
