Responsibilities

Accurately enter and maintain daily production data for steel and concrete products. Record and update information relating to raw materials, production quantities, finished products, wastage, and stock levels. Capture data from production sheets, delivery notes, invoices, stock records, and other source documents. Maintain accurate records of steel, cement, aggregates, reinforcement materials, and other manufacturing inputs. Enter and monitor production output against planned production targets. Update inventory and stock movement records. Capture information relating to incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products. Maintain accurate records of customer orders, deliveries, dispatches, and returns. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly data reports for management. Use Microsoft Excel and other company systems to maintain databases and generate reports. Verify data received from production, stores, procurement, sales, and logistics departments. Identify discrepancies and report incorrect or missing information to the relevant department. Maintain proper electronic and physical filing systems. Assist with tracking production efficiency, material usage, stock variances, and wastage. Ensure all data is entered within required deadlines and maintained accurately. Handle company information with confidentiality. Perform other administrative and data-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Diploma or certificate in Data Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, Records Management, or a related field is an added advantage. Minimum 2 years’ experience in data entry or a similar administrative role. Previous experience in steel, concrete, construction materials, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment is highly preferred. Good understanding of manufacturing and production records. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other data management systems. Experience with inventory, stock management, ERP, or manufacturing systems is an added advantage.

Excellent data entry and typing skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of manufacturing and inventory documentation. Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills. Ability to work with large volumes of information. Good numerical and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have practical exposure to a steel and concrete manufacturing environment and understand the importance of accurate production and inventory records. They should be comfortable working closely with Production, Stores, Procurement, Sales, Accounts, and Logistics departments.
