Background
The Council of Law Reporting is a statutory body established under the Council of Law Reporting Act, Chapter 46 of the Laws of Zambia, mandated to prepare, publish and disseminate law reports and other legal publications, thereby promoting access to legal information and supporting the development of jurisprudence in Zambia. In pursuit of its strategic objectives and commitment to institutional excellence, the Council of Law Reporting invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and innovative candidates for the following positions:
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to report to the Council Secretary and will be responsible for the following:
- Manage effectively the regulation of Law Reporting in order to facilitate compliance to standards;
- Manage effectively human resource and administrative functions in order to promote efficient and effective operations of the Institution;
- Manage effectively the provision of ICT services in order to facilitate service delivery;
- Undertake effectively the provision of planning, monitoring and evaluation functions in order to provide strategic direction to the Institution;
- Manage timely the development of work plans and the implementation of the performance management system in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance; and
- Manage effectively human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor of Laws degree or its equivalent
- Advocate of the High Court of Zambia
- Minimum of 8 years at the bar with 2 years’ experience at management level
