AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Zambia, a leader in providing HIV/AIDS care since 2007, has partnered with the government and community organizations to expand testing and treatment services across 12 districts. Through mobile units, door-to-door testing, and healthcare worker training, AHF Zambia serves nearly 158,000 clients annually, continually improving access to healthcare services for underserved communities.

In furtherance of our mission, AHF Zambia invites eligible vendors to submit tenders for the Design and Supervision of Construction Works for the Copperbelt Region Office and ART Clinic at the New Masala site in Ndola. Please find below the eligibility criteria and submission guidelines.

AHF Zambia’s Operations:

AHF Zambia operates wellness clinics at New Masala (Ndola), Chifundo, and Lusungu (Lusaka). Our flagship self-built facility, Chifundo Clinic, located in Chaisa, Lusaka, has served as a model for high-quality healthcare services since its opening in 2014. AHF Zambia also operates offices in Lusaka (Olympia and Chaisa), Itawa (Ndola), Kabwe, and Choma.

Project Overview:

AHF Zambia plans to construct a new healthcare facility at the New Masala Clinic Site, located along Masala Road, Ndola. The project will include a clinic wing, office wing, and an incinerator. Modeled after Chifundo Clinic in Lusaka, the new facility will be designed as a single-storey structure to suit the spatial constraints of the site.

Tender Submission Requirements:

Interested architectural and project management firms are invited to submit the following documents for consideration:

1. Technical Approach (Maximum 20 Pages)

A comprehensive plan for executing the project from inception through to handover, including design, obtaining all mandatory approvals, developing tender documents for construction, and managing the construction phase to project completion to obtain certificate of occupation.

2. Company Profile and Team Qualifications

A detailed company profile with a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar assignments. The submission should include the Curriculum Vitae of the core team which includes Architect, quantity surveyor, electrical engineer, civil engineer, structural engineer, clerk of works and Project Manager, highlighting relevant qualifications and experience.

Weight: 40 points

3. Financial Proposal 30 points

A proposal detailing the fee structure as a percentage of the total construction cost, giving clear breakdown of rates for the core team.

Hard copy proposals must be submitted at our office by 14th March 2025 . Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
