Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

To drive the Laboratory Manager and those designated by him and perform other duties of the driver.

Specifically, These Responsibilities Are To:

• To drive assigned company vehicles in carrying out approved company business.
• To ensure assigned company vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy and safe condition.
• To assist with office administration tasks when required to do so.
• To ensure timely and safe delivery of items placed in your custody.
• To ensure compliance with all guidelines and instructions.
• To notify the Laboratory Manager of any vehicle defect which may endanger lives of those who are conveyed in vehicles, and which may also affect the efficiency of operations.

Qualifications

Profile

• Valid driver’s license.
• Good knowledge of road safety and network in Zambia.
• Familiar with company procedures.
• At least Grade Nine Certificate

Skills

• Knowledge of the role of the driver.
• Knowledge of the industry safety, health and environmental management systems

Additional Information

Authority

• Has the authority to report any suspicious behaviour or ambiguous arrangement to management
• Authority to eliminate and report unsafe conditions to superiors
