The key purpose of this role is to provide safe, punctual, and professional transportation services for guests and employees while ensuring vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, and accurate trip documentation in support of the organisation’s operational efficiency.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely and timely drive assigned guests/employees from various authorized locations
- Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and laws
- Ensure that the vehicle is clean at all times
- Carry out routine inspection on the vehicle to ensure that it is always in good condition
- Identify electrical and mechanical problems that may hinder smooth working of the vehicle and ensure they are resolved by relevant people
- Consider different routes, check climate d traffic reports to decide the best time to travel and the best route to take
- Safely keep receipts for vehicle repairs and maintenance and other records and reports concerning the company car(s)
- Keep a travel log to record locations travelled to, travel time, fuel consumption, mileage, and work hours
- Exhibit courteous and professional conduct at all times and adhere to schedule
- Carry out other ad hoc assignments
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience, preferably in a manufacturing setup
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
