POSITION: Driver/Mechanic (1 Position)

REPORTING TO: Workshop Manager

LOCATION: Ndola

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out maintenance, repair, and operational support of company vehicles and ground support equipment to ensure efficiency and safety in operations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and repair fleet and equipment as directed by the Workshop Supervisor.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out general workshop duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Execute planned vehicle maintenance schedules in coordination with the supervisor.
• Repair motor vehicles and ramp equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of ramp equipment.
• Liaise with drivers to assess performance and condition of fleet and equipment.
• Ensure that only fully serviceable equipment is available for operations at all times.
• Maintain and operate generators, including keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Occasionally perform high loader operations when required.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License C1, C or PSV
• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanics or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar role.
• Must be a resident of Ndola
